Storm work is not ordinary tree work
A storm-damaged tree is full of stored energy. Trunks and limbs bent under tension or pinned under other debris ("spring poles" and "widowmakers") can release with tremendous force when cut in the wrong place or the wrong order. Partially uprooted trees can drop or roll. This is exactly the kind of work where DIY injuries happen — and where trained crews with the right rigging make it routine and safe.
Our cleanup process
We walk the property and prioritize by hazard: trees on structures or blocking access first, then hangers and compromised trees, then general debris. We release tension in downed trees in a controlled sequence, remove the hazards, and chip and haul the debris. We can also assess the trees left standing — storms often loosen root plates and crack limbs in ways that aren't obvious from the ground.
